The use of Tell-A-Nurse after-hours triage service has numerous advantages.  Many of these improve risk management while making the service cost-effective.

1. Reproducible Medical Advice - using a standard set of adult and pediatric guidelines decreases the variability of advice from nurse to nurse and provides a standard for comparison of results.
